Banksy Style Stencils

Miss Ales KS3 classes have been doing some excellent work inspired by the anonymous graffiti artist Banksy.

His bold stencilled style and politically conscious subject matter make his work instantly recognisable, and in turn have made him one of the most interesting and revered artists in our country today.

Students started by examining Banksy's works and replicating some in pencil. Students looked at how he uses positive and negative space to create his imagery.

Next, students marked out and cut out the shapes of their chosen image and their own slogan and words.

As you can see students have produced some wonderful work, and who knows, maybe we have the next Banksy right here at Ernest Bevin College!
